Observation on Trichomonas vaginalis in Lower Urinary Tract in the Male

Abstract

|
An experiment was made to detech the presence of Trichomons vaginalis in 89 patients with lower urinary tract infection.
Microscopic examination and cultvation of sediments of urine and prostatic secretion. 1, Trichomonas vaginalis was demonstrated in 7.9% of the lower urinary tract infected group. 2, Motile T. vaginalis were found in 28.6% through microscopic examination and additionally 42.9% by cultivation in urine. 3, Motile T. vaginalis was not found through microscopic examination but additionally in 28.6% by cultivation in prostatic secretion.
